Ride With Pride

                                   President's Message;

Hello and welcome to the Blue Knights Pennsylvania Chapter XVI website.

The Blue Knights were formed in the Spring of 1974 in Maine when several law enforcement officers got together to form a small, local motorcycle club. That small club has grown to what is now, an International Club that has 650 chapters, with over 20,000 members, and is spread throughout 29 countries. Membership consists of active and retired Law Enforcement Officers who enjoy riding motorcycles.

According to the By-Laws from the International office, our purposes and goals are to:

  1.  Provide for the mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment, education, physical, mental, and social benefit
         of its members
    and the general public.
  2. To promote and advance the sport of motorcycling and the safety of motorcycling.
  3. To serve the interests of motorcycle owners and users.
  4. To promote by example and by any other acceptable means, safe use, operation, and enjoyment of motorcycles.
  5. To develop a fraternal spirit between law enforcement personnel and the general public.

Locally our chapter has approximately 100 members that come from the five surrounding counties of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our chapter is very busy during riding season, supporting various community events, charity rides, and "Rev & Rolls" which take place twice a month. Chances are if you have been to a motorcycle themed event, Blue Knights Pennsylvania Chapter XVI members were there.

Also our chapter hosts the Annual Blue Ride that occurs on the last Sunday in July. We co-host this event with members of the Washington Lodge #164, F & AM Masonic Lodge, Washington, PA. 2018 will be our fifteenth year of holding this event and will possibly result in this event raising approximately $500,000.00 for local charities since the events inception.

If you are currently employed with or retired from law enforcement and would like to join a very active group of motorcycle enthusiasts, please reach out to us. We would like to hear from you.

Stay safe …
